As a wrestler at The Ohio State University, Mark won an NCAA championship and earned All-American honors.  First ever UFC Heavyweight champion.  Won the PRIDE 2000 Open Weight Grand Prix tournament.  Inducted in to the UFC Hall of Fame in March of 2008 at UFC event in Columbus, OH.  The pioneer of “Ground and Pound” made his UFC return in January of 2009 in Dublin, Ireland vs Shogun Rua.  Mark then won his fight vs Stephan Bonnar at historic UFC 100 by a unanimous decision.  For the first time in UFC history, two hall of famers will lock up, as Mark will face Randy Couture at UFC 109.
